"Il Solitario" Vermentino 2021 Wins Gold at the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes
Our winery, Beatrice Maloro, celebrates another extraordinary milestone: "Il Solitario" Candia dei Colli Apuani Vermentino 2021 has won the Gold Medal at the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes, a prestigious international competition dedicated to wines produced under "heroic" viticultural conditions. This award confirms the uniqueness and quality of our wines—expressions of a territory that is as fascinating as it is challenging.
The Mondial des Vins Extrêmes
Organized by CERVIM (Centre for Research, Studies and Valorisation of Mountain Viticulture), the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes is the premier competition dedicated to wines produced through extreme viticulture. The awards recognize producers who cultivate vines in difficult terrains characterized by steep slopes, high altitudes, and unique climatic conditions. The competition serves as a benchmark for highlighting the hard work and passion of those who defy nature to produce extraordinary wines.
"Il Solitario" Vermentino 2021 stands out for its refined aromatic profile, freshness, and distinctive savory quality. Born of heroic viticulture and a meticulous winemaking process, this wine embodies the essence of our territory, capturing in every sip both the beauty and the challenges of cultivating vines on the slopes of the Colli Apuani.
Winning the Gold Medal at the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes is a source of great pride for us and reaffirms our dedication to producing high-quality wines. This recognition encourages us to pursue our mission with passion: to showcase the unique characteristics of our “terroir” and offer wines that tell a story of tradition and innovation.
