Intense, elegant, and enveloping, Malóro displays a vibrant ruby-red hue that heralds a rich, complex aromatic bouquet; notes of ripe red fruit—blueberry, cherry, and currant—intertwine with hints of Mediterranean herbs and delicate spicy nuances of black pepper and violet. On the palate, it is fresh, mineral, and juicy, striking a perfect balance between structure and smoothness that ensures a pleasantly lingering finish.

PAIRINGS

Perfect with red meats, roasts, and game, it also pairs beautifully with flavorful first courses such as pappardelle with wild boar ragù or mushroom risotto. It is excellent alongside aged cheeses and Tuscan cured meats, offering an authentic and satisfying experience.

Customs, habits, traditions, dialects, and nicknames—this was the fabric of the Apuan people. People did not identify themselves by surname; rather, the "clan" was clearly defined by the epithet assigned to each family. "Everything’s going to ruin" (*Al va tutto ‘n malora*)—that was the exclamation of old Pietro, known as Malòro, as he worked and saved over a century ago to buy land. It was land he reclaimed and made lush, fertile, and productive—land that represented life and a secure future for his children and the generations to come, who have since skillfully cultivated it to produce a savory red wine, touched by the sea, with notes of citrus, wild berries, and Mediterranean scrub.
